Large, natural terra cotta pots arranged with edible plants to brighten up the steps to your back door or fill an empty corner of your patio. Provides aesthetic beauty and healthy snacks.
All plants started from seed here at Spencer Brook Farm in Vermont Compost potting soil and amended with 100% all natural slow release fertilizer made from our Icelandic sheep wool. Mulched with dried alyssum to help retain moisture and protect plants from soil back splash when it rains.
Current Spring Offering: Snap Peas or Shelling Peas surrounded by violas. A birch branch trellis provides support as the peas grow taller. Pots measure approximately 14 inches in diameter and 13 inches tall.
Large porch pots may be brought back to farm stand for $10 credit toward next seasonal planting (Purslane and greens cuing up, followed by tomatoes and herbs).
*Photo with watering can is from a previous season, a couple weeks after planting. Second photo is a newly planted pot from this season that will quickly grow to fill-in and the climb trellis to provide a small snap pea harvest.
