PLANTS

At Spencer Brook Farm in Concord, Massachusetts, we grow a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers with an emphasis on native plants and ecological balance. Our gardens are thoughtfully designed to support both productivity and biodiversity, blending cultivated crops with species that have long belonged to this region. We believe that growing food can be both abundant and regenerative, and that working with native plants strengthens the health of our soil, our pollinators, and our broader environment.

Our vegetable rows include heirloom and seasonal varieties chosen for flavor, nutrition, and adaptability to our New England climate. Among the fruit we grow are hardy species that thrive in this landscape, offering fresh harvests throughout the growing season. The herbs we cultivate range from culinary staples to medicinal varieties, while our flowers bring beauty, habitat, and pollinator support to every corner of the farm. Native wildflowers and perennials are intentionally woven into our plantings, attracting bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects, and contributing to the resilience of the land.

We grow with organic practices, minimal tillage, and a deep respect for the relationships between plants, people, and place. Every seed we plant is part of a living system, one that nourishes our community while helping to restore and protect the natural rhythms of the land we steward here in Concord.
