Soil Blocking Basics Workshop

Introduction to Soil Blocking and Regenerative Seed Starting

Learn to grow from the ground up—sustainably.
Join us for a 1.5-hour, hands-on workshop focused on the art of soil blocking: a plastic-free, regenerative approach to starting seeds. You'll learn how to create compressed, freestanding soil blocks and explore the benefits of this method over traditional seed trays.

We’ll also cover key regenerative seed-starting practices, including how to care for seedlings at home using organic amendments, natural growth boosters, and tips for optimal lighting and heating setups.

What’s Included:

  • 12 soil blocks made during class, ready to grow at home

  • 1 authentic Ladrooke Mini 4 Soil Blocker (yours to keep)

  • 1 reusable metal seed tray

  • 1 packet of certified organic seeds

  • 1 jar of organic, water-soluble calcium supplement for plant health

  • Mycorrhizal seed inoculant

  • All materials are approved for organic gardening
